In the spirit of the day, Politico’s article – The gifts he will give to leaders who were “good guys”
In a festive, humorous mood, Politico hosts an interview with Santa Claus, who judges which leader has been “good” and who has been “naughty” and what gift he will give each according to his list.
Vladimir Putin – ‘naughty’: “I don’t like wars, they don’t seem like a good idea. On the other hand there is the issue of Yevgeny Prigozhin, very ugly. So, no presents for Vladimir this Christmas, like last year and the year before.”
Zelensky – “good”: “Strangely this year he didn’t ask me for a new sweater, just a good night’s sleep. I want the same too, man! You are on the “good” list.
Soltz – “good”: “I know a snowman named Olaf, so I have an extra fondness for that name… maybe that’s why it’s on the good list so let’s give him what he wants… money to fix the huge hole in the German government budget.”
Mitsotakis – “good”: “Kyriakos can do on the “good” nice list, I guess, as he didn’t ask for much this year just some old marbles back. Seems fair enough to me. I won’t steal them from him though – I’m Santa, not a criminal! — so I can only offer moral support”
“Undecided” for Macron and von der Leyen
Santa doesn’t know which list to put the French president on – the good guys or the bad guys.
“THE Emmanuel asked for a friendship bracelet to give to Victor (Orban) of Hungary. He seems to like them bad guys. Of course, the friendship bracelet he gave to Vladimir (Putin) had no effect. Well done to him for not giving up,” comments the humorous Politico column.
The support of the president of the Commission to allow the hunting of wolves worries Santa Claus.
” THE Ursula (von der Leyen) he asked for something strange, a stuffed wolf of the Canis lupus species known as GW950m (like the wolf that attacked and killed her horse). I think he’s still alive, so this seems a bit unethical. Let’s move past this request,” writes “Santa”.
