The British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, shared a unique video on social media inspired by the Christmas classic Home Alone. It is, of course, set in Number 10 Downing Street and shows the Prime Minister working in his office, before he realizes it is deserted.

“Am I the only one here?”, Rishi Sunak wonders in the video posted on his personal account on X (formerly Twitter). When he realizes that he is finally alone he stops working and starts having fun like “Kevin” (Macaulay Culkin) in the movie.

The lens finds him running down the empty corridors, throwing balls into stacked cans of his favorite soft drink and, holding Larry, the Downing Street cat, decorating the Christmas tree.

He then enjoys a plate of spaghetti at the boardroom table while watching the 2003 film ‘Elf’. And while roasting a marshmallow shortly afterwards, he rings the phone of the Downing Street press office and he answers: “Harry, you got the wrong number” (probably a reference to Harry Cole, the Sun’s political editor).

The video ends with the Prime Minister sitting back at his desk and on the screen writing as in the caption “Merry Christmas”. According to the Daily Mail the video has already amassed over nine million views on X alone, while the post on his YouTube account titled ‘What Rishi Sunak does at Christmas’ has amassed over 48k views.

Recently, the British Prime Minister revealed to Politico that on Christmas Day he takes care of cooking the turkey while Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer goes to his favorite pub.
