The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland summoned Russia’s envoy for an explanation, on the occasion of the violation of his country’s airspace by a missile, early this morning, the ministry announced.
Deputy Minister Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski delivered a note of protest to the Commissioner of the Russian Federation, asking for an explanation of the incident that occurred in the morning, which involved the violation of Polish airspace by a missile. It also demanded an immediate stop to such actions, the ministry added.
It is recalled that earlier, General Maciej Klistz, operational commander of the Polish armed forces, stated that the missile that violated the airspace was probably Russian. He said the object likely left Polish airspace after less than three minutes above the country’s territory and returned to Ukraine.
“His flight path inland over Polish territory was under surveillance,” Klist told reporters. “For now the scenario I’m proposing is that the missile left Polish airspace.”
