Extensive air and ground operations against Kurdish organizations in northern Iraq and northern Syria were highlighted in Council of Ministers of Turkey which met under the presidency of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in the shadow of the escalation of the Turkish army’s clashes in these areas and the death of nine soldiers on Friday, January 12.

He further claimed that: “Our cross-border operations have prevented plans to cause internal unrest inside Turkey through a wave of irregular migration. Turkey, with its successful operations outside its borders, has shown very clearly that it will not accept ‘surgery’ on its soil.”

The Turkish president made it clear that his country will continue its military operations on the territories of neighboring countries on its southern border, saying: “In the coming months, we will definitely take new steps in this direction, regardless of who says what and which ones.” he throws threats. As he said, “as long as the imperialists’ plans to establish a terrorist state in Iraq and Syria are on the table, none of us can feel safe. If the promises made to us are not kept, then no one can object to Turkey taking the necessary measures for its own security.”

According to the Turkish president, “in five days, 114 targets and 78 terrorists were neutralized as a result of our air operations. 60 critical infrastructure and ammunition facilities were destroyed.

“When it comes to the fight against terrorism, the survival, peace and security of our country, everyone is either with us or against us. There is no middle ground or gray area in this matter,” he said.
