A short video captured by an eyewitness shows the aircraft in the air with its engine engulfed in flames
A fire broke out on an Atlas Air Boeing 747-8a few minutes after taking off from the Miami International Airport on Thursday night.
In a short video recorded by an eyewitness the aircraft appears to be airborne and its engine engulfed in flames.

“The crew followed all standard procedures and returned safely to MIA”the company said in a statement.
According to FlightAware, Atlas Air 95 took off from Miami Airport at 10:32 p.m. bound for Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in Puerto Rico.
The airport spokesman said it was a cargo flight, but declined to elaborate.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded by saying no injuries were reportedMiami International Airport said in a separate statement on Reuters.
