The Israeli Prime Minister characterizes the decisions as “a despicable attempt to deny Israel the fundamental right of self-defense”
Today’s orders of the International Court of Justice in The Hague for the Gaza Strip – ending genocidal actions and providing humanitarian aid– commented the Israeli Prime Minister, reacting to South Africa’s appeal to the Court.
Netanyahu stated that the charge of genocide is “outrageous” and emphasized that his country will do whatever is necessary to defend herself, continuing the war against Hamas for as long as necessary.
“The wanton attempt to deny Israel this fundamental right is blatant discrimination against the Jewish state and has been rightly rejected” he said, commenting on the fact that the Court did not call for an immediate ceasefire in the war in the Gaza Strip.
“However, the charge of genocide leveled against Israel is not only falseis outrageous and decent people everywhere should reject it.” the Israeli prime minister said in an English-language video posted online.
“Israel’s commitment to international law is unwavering. Equally unwavering is our sacred commitment to continue to defend our country and our people.”Netanyahu continues.
In the video – response to the Hague decisions, Israeli PM calls Hamas ‘genocidal’ organization vowed to repeat Oct 7 ‘atrocities’ ‘again and again’ and argues that Israel’s war is against “terrorists, not against Palestinian civilians”.
