Ukraine: Demands Extraordinary Meeting with Member States of the Vienna Document Awarded to Russia

by

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister requested an extraordinary meeting of the members who have signed the Vienna Document of 2011 Dmitro Koulempa on Sunday.

Kiev is requesting a meeting of the signatories of the 2011 Vienna Document on confidence-building measures, including Russia, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said in the wake of Biden’s warning in Moscow.

In his post on Twitter, Dmitry Kuleba wrote: “Russia has not responded to our request for the Vienna Document. We take the next step. Ukraine convenes a meeting with the Russian Federation and all participating States within the next 48 hours to discuss the reinforcement and movement of Russian troops along our borders and in the temporarily occupied Crimea. “If Russia is to take seriously its words about the indivisibility of security in the OSCE area, it must fulfill its obligations for military transparency in order to de-escalate tensions and strengthen security for all.”
