Pictures from the scene of the “horrific” incident as described by eyewitnesses show one car with the doors open in the middle of the road, close to the center of the bustling district of Clapham Common.
Eyewitnesses said they saw her woman and the man to get out of the vehicle in which the children were also. It is likely that this is a family, or at least that the woman is the mother of the girls. They described how the two they argued and then the man got back into the vehicle and appeared to be trying to hit the woman with it.
One of the girls, two or three years old, in the back seat banging on the window and crying. The man picked up the girl and forcefully threw her twice into the car door. Then the woman started shouting “my eyes, my eyes, call the police, my eyes!”.
