King Charles was diagnosed with cancer and began treatment on Monday, according to Buckingham Palace

The Palace says the cancer was detected during the King’s recent hospital treatment for a benign enlarged prostate.

“A separate issue of concern was noted,” the Palace says, and “subsequent diagnostic tests identified a form of cancer.”

The 75-year-old Monarch is advised to postpone his public duties but will continue to work from his office.

Cheerful, smiling and in good shape King Charles made his first appearance yesterday after prostate surgery.

Accompanied by Camila, he went to the Sunday service at the church of Saint Mary Magdalene.

The 74-year-old Charles greeted those present with a smile, wearing his trademark camel coat and holding an umbrella.

King Charles was discharged on 29/1 in the afternoon after the planned prostate surgery to which he underwent the previous days.

Journalists rushed out of the clinic in central London early to cover the king’s planned exit.
