Trump pledged on Friday that if re-elected he would remove all gun restrictions introduced by the administration of Democrat Joe Biden
Former US President Donald Trump, who is considered the undisputed favorite for the nomination of the Republicans in this year’s presidential elections, committed yesterday Friday that if re-elected he will remove all restrictions on gun ownership that introduced by the administration of Democrat Joe Biden.
Addressing thousands of supporters at an event organized by the powerful pro-gun lobby (National Rifle Association – NRA) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Trump stressed: “Every attack by Biden against gun owners and manufacturers will end within the first week after my return to power, maybe even on the first day”.
The NRA enthusiastically supported Trump in his bid for president in 2016. He then applauded the appointment of three conservative justices to the Supreme Court, as well as the exemption that allowed gun stores to remain open during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“No one will touch your guns,” promised Donald Trump and boasted that he did not succumb to the pressures he received during his term in the White House (2017-2021). “In my four years, not the slightest thing happened, even though I received a lot of pressure regarding gun ownership. Nothing happened, we did not give in!”, he emphasized.
