Vladimir Putin “persistently” expressed to him his satisfaction with Turkey’s stance in international forums, the Turkish president said
The visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Turkey will take place without delay but not too soon, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
Asked about the telephone conversation he had with Vladimir Putin on Monday morning, the Turkish president replied that the Russian president told him he would make that visit without delay, but not at the moment or in a very short time.
As he mentioned, Vladimir Putin “persistently” expressed to him his satisfaction with Turkey’s stance in international forums. “He expressed his satisfaction in favor of the stable continuation of relations between us,” he stressed.
The President of Russia contacted Recep Tayyip Erdogan by phone this morning to wish him on his birthday today.
In a statement from the Directorate of Communication of the Turkish presidency, it is noted that during the conversation, Vladimir Putin thanked the Turkish president for his contribution to the progress of Turkey-Russia relations on a friendly basis.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan turns 70 today.
