A drone attack attributed to Ukrainian forces killed three people and injured three others in Russia’s Belgorod region today.
“The Ukrainian army hit a car using a kamikaze drone… Three civilians were killed,” regional governor Vychislav Gladkov said in a Telegram post, adding that the explosion injured three other people who were taken to hospital.
THE an attack took place in the village of Potsaevo, in the western part of the Belgorod region, near the Ukrainian border. The car that was hit was carrying construction workers, according to the same source.
Since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the Belgorod region has been frequently attacked by Ukrainian forces with missiles and drones. Hundreds of people were recently evacuated from the city of Belgorod, capital of the region of the same name, in the wake of the deadliest Ukrainian attack on Russian soil. At least 25 dead and around 100 wounded were the toll of the December 30 attack.
