An original way was found by the 73-year-old Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi to pray in front of an ancient temple located in a “lost” Hindu city.

The Prime Minister of India wearing the traditional loose orange clothing of the Hindus and a special diving suit dived into the waters of Panchku beach in the state of Gujarat of his special homeland in India accompanied by divers of the Indian Navy.

His purpose was to reach the sacred site of Dwarka for the Hindus – of the kingdom which Krishna is said to have created and which covered after his death by the waters of the Arabian Sea.

Just arrived he deposited a stick of peacock feathers in a submarine and then began the prayer. Offering light, flowers, water or food to divine entities is a core Hindu ritual known as Puja, reports Britain’s Daily Telegraph.

Modi described this experience of diving in the ruins of Dwarka as a “divine experience” one of the seven holy places of pilgrimage in the country.

“I felt connected to an ancient era of spiritual greatness and timeless devotion”Modi said in a post on the X platform.

“The vision of Dwarka at sea strengthened my resolve for a developed India even more”he added at a rally later on Sunday.
