With her post on X, the Italian prime minister Georgia Meloni referred to the dominance of the centre-left regional governor candidate in Sardinia.
“I want to thank our candidate, Paolo Trutsou, and the entire center-right alliance which, however, received the most votes from the citizens with its ballots. Defeats are always a cause of distress, but they are also an opportunity for anyone to reflect and improve. We’ll learn something in this case too.” wrote the Italian prime minister.
Giorgia Meloni also added that she contacted the new governor of Sardinia, Alessandra Tonde, by phone to congratulate her and wish her a good career.
I called Alessandra Todde, President-elect of the Sardegna Region, to wish her good work.
