On the occasion of the publication of her book, Brigitte Macron’s daughter talks about the forbidden relationship with the 17-year-old future French president
About the difficulties she went through and how she dealt with it when she found out about Brigitte Macron’s mother’s illicit relationship with her 25-year-younger student, Emmanuel Macron, today’s lawyer Thiffen Ozier, daughter of professor Brigitte Tronier, spoke.
Specifically, in an interview with Paris Match, on the occasion of the release of her novel “Assises”, the young lawyer mentioned that she learned about her mother’s relationship with Macron when she was 10 years old. Her other two siblings were older: 19-year-old Sébastien and 17-year-old Laurents, who was also Macron’s classmate.
As she said she and her siblings had to put up with the constant comments made about this relationship. “I learned a lot about human nature,” said the young lawyer, and added that “I know that, in these moments, we must focus on the essentials and move forward regardless of criticism.”
She recalls that all this happened in a small provincial town of Amiens in the north of France where it was not yet the age of social networks but everything was becoming known at great speed. He says that “Despite all this, they stood up. I was able to gain an open mind, but also the desire to move forward by becoming more tolerant.”
At the same time, he spoke about how he felt when her father André-Louis Auzière was forced to leave the house even though he had not separated from Brigitte after the divorce came out in 2006, enabling Macron to marry her a year later.
Brigitte’s daughter now says that “I have a loving father and a loving stepfather.” Tiffen refers to her father in the present tense and let him die in 2019 at the age of 68.
As part of her interview, Ozier said she was hurt by the claims that have been circulating on social media all this time that Brigitte was born male.
In particular, she said: “I’m worried about the level of society when I hear all this stuff going around on social media about my mother actually being a man.” It is recalled that last year Brigitte Macron won a defamation case against journalists who had circulated rumors about her gender.
Regarding what her life was like after Macron’s arrival, she revealed that she called Macron “the UFO”. He was a man tender to Brigitte and protective of Tiffen (as well as Brigitte’s other children), whom he advised to go to bed early in order to pass her law school exams.
Despite being the most left-wing of the family, Tiffen feels she is not far removed from Macron and his policies. They have a lot in common with him, from Marseille to literature.
Ozier had not revealed anything to her family (she is married with two children) about her writing project before putting the final touches on it, but not to her mother or to Macron. She knows that her novel will immediately arouse curiosity. Some will belittle her because they dislike the president, others will praise her because they admire him. But he admits that “I expect the worst”.
