The army called on citizens to move “towards the west“, i.e. to the sea and then to follow the road along the coasts “to the south to the al-Mawasi humanitarian zone”, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Eyewitnesses told AFP that leaflets with the same message were dropped in the area. “You are in a dangerous conflict zone,” the flyers said.
