Anthony Blinken, who is visiting Israel as part of his efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of Israeli hostages, also met today with Israel’s war cabinet.
“One hundred percent of the population of Gaza is experiencing severe levels of acute food insecurity. We cannot, we must not allow this to continue.”Blinken said at a press conference Thursday afternoon.
At the same time, the UN Security Council is meeting to vote on a US resolution expressing support for a hostage deal and linking it to the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire.
