Benjamin Netanyahu stated today that Israel remains determined to send troops doing land raid on Rafathe city in the southern Gaza Strip where more than a million Palestinians have been displaced, and that Israel will do so with or without US support.
Netanyahu emphasized in his announcement that he told the foreign minister of USA Anthony Blinken during his visit to Israel that there is no other way to defeat the Islamist movement Hamas without the Israeli army advancing on Rafah.
“And I told him that I hope we will do it with the support of the US, but if we have to – we will do it ourselves”he emphasized.
The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for about 40 minutes, Reuters reports.
Before the meeting, Anthony Blinken said he would push for more aid to flow to Gaza and address the growing gap between the two countries.
After Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements, US Vice President Kamala Harris said that there is no way for civilians to escape Rafawhere the Israeli prime minister plans to send troops.
“These people have nowhere to go and be safe”Harris told reporters as she departed for a trip to Puerto Rico and Florida, according to Reuters.
