Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke by phone with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and expressed his condolences for the terrorist attack in Moscow.

According to Turkish diplomatic sources, Hakan Fidan condemned the heinous terrorist attack in Moscow and conveyed the condolences of the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people to the people and government of Russia.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement in which it is noted: “It is with great sadness that we learned about the many dead and injured from an attack on a concert hall in Moscow this evening (March 22). We strongly condemn this heinous terrorist attack against innocent citizens. We express our sincere condolences to the Russian people and the Russian government.”

Turkish National Assembly Speaker Numan Kurtulmus also condemned the attack targeting civilians at a Moscow concert hall. “I strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack that targeted innocent civilians in Moscow and express my condolences to the Russian government and the Russian people,” Kurtulmus wrote on his social media account.

The attack was also condemned by Turkey’s vice president, Cevnet Yilmaz.
