“Milon of Strife” its voters Nikki Haley. The president Joe Biden campaigned directly to supporters of the former Republican nominee, who dropped out of the race this month as his last challenger Donald Trump in the party primaries.

“Nikki Haley voters, Donald Trump doesn’t want your vote”, Biden said in a social media post that included a hyperlink to a new campaign ad. “I want to be clear: there is a place for you in my campaign,” he added.

The ad features Trump to call Hailey a “cock-brained” and to reject her candidacy. “She’s gone crazy, she’s a very angry person,” Trump said of the former US ambassador to the United Nations.

Representatives for Haley and Trump did not respond to a request for comment.

Haley insisted on her candidacy when all other nominees had dropped out and he was promising policies that would appeal to Republican voters who reject Trump. About 570,000 voters in three crucial states (Nevada, North Carolina and Michigan) voted for Haley in the primary, a small number but significant given that these states were decided by a narrow margin in the previous election.

Biden, 81, he will need all the support he can get, given that concerns have been raised about his age and state of health in view of a second presidential term. Recent Reuters/Ipsos polls show his popularity at 40% and predict head-to-head battle with the 77-year-old Trump in the Nov. 5 election.
