The FSB said in a statement cited by Russian news agencies that it had “put an end to the terrorist activities of three citizens”.
The Russian Security Service (FSB) announced today Friday that it had arrested three “citizens of a Central Asian country” who were planning a bomb attack in southern Russia, a week after an attack on a concert hall near Moscow that killed at least 144 people.
The FSB said in a statement cited by Russian news agencies that it “put an end to the terrorist activities of three citizens of a Central Asian country who planned to commit a terrorist act by detonating a device in a public place in the region of Stavroupoli”.
They were confiscated explosives and chemicals, as well as nails at the residence of the accused in the case, the FSB added. The Russian service also posted a video of the operation for the arrests of the alleged perpetrators.
The FSB prevented a terrorist attack in the Stavropol region in a place of mass gathering of people, which was prepared by three citizens of one of the countries of Central Asia. This was reported by TASS in the Public Relations Center of the FSB: https://t.co/EaP6Ylgrqc
