Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his Easter message, called on Ukrainians to defend themselves against Russian aggression.

“There is not a night or a day when Russian terrorism does not try to destroy our lives,” Zelensky wrote in English on the X platform.

In the early hours of the morning today, Ukraine was attacked by Russian forces, with the energy infrastructure being mainly targeted.

Ukraine’s air force said it intercepted 18 of the 27 attacks it received by drones, missiles and cruise missiles, but authorities said some hit their targets.

One person was killed in Lviv, in the west of the country, when he was hit by an infrastructure.

In Odessa, on the Black Sea, tens of thousands of people were left without power for some time, while power outages also occurred in other parts of the country.
