Meeting of delegations from Greece and Turkey, with the object of Confidence Building Measures (CBM)will be held in Athens on Monday, April 22.
According to sources of the Ministry of National Defense, the head of the Greek delegation will be Ambassador Theoharis Lalakos and the Turkish delegation will be headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Burak Aktsapar.
It is recalled that the previous meeting for the MOUs took place on November 13, 2023 in Ankara.
Before the meeting on April 22, there will be two exchanges of visits by commanders of military units, within the framework of the MoUs, which were agreed upon during the meeting in Ankara.
Specifically, on April 16 and 17, the Greek commander of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Brigade based in Kavyli Evros will pay a visit to the Turkish 54th Mechanized Infantry Brigade based in Edirne.
On April 18 and 19, the Turkish commander of the 4th Mechanized Infantry Brigade based in Kessani will pay a visit to the Greek 31st Mechanized Infantry Brigade based in Feres.
