The prosecutor’s office in Turin identified and dismantled a network of drug traffickers who had built and were soon to use a small remote-controlled submarine, which would be used to transport narcotics. This spiral, according to the Italian press, was controlled by two brothers of Albanian origin.

At the same time, the criminals used private double-decker cars, coming from the Netherlands, France and Spain, in which they hid large quantities of drugs sent from Central America.

In total, 204 kilograms of hashish, cocaine and marijuana were seized. Italian prosecutors dubbed the whole investigation “Car Wash” because the drug dealers were hiding behind “legal front businesses”, mainly car wash businesses.
