Video of the five female IDF members kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 from the Nahal Oz base was released today by the Hostage and Disappeared Families Forum.

The video, captured by Hamas gunmen’s body cameras, is 3:10 minutes long and has been edited to remove very violent footage.

The forum said the decision to release the video was made by the families of the five female soldiers held hostage in Gaza: Liri Albag, Karina Ariev, Agam Berger, Daniela Gilboa and Naama Levy.

Seven Israeli army women were kidnapped alive from the base. Ori Meghndis was rescued by the IDF in October while Noa Marciano was killed by Hamas during her captivity. Her body was recovered by the IDF in November and returned to Israel for burial.

“Look them in the eye,” said the Hostage and Family Forum. “The video is a powerful indictment of the national failure in hostage management over the past 229 days.” The video shows the brutal and humiliating treatment of the girls on the day of their abduction and shows the immense fear, which is reflected in their eyes, the forum also said.

The Israeli government must sit down again at the negotiating table today

“Each new testimony about what happened to the hostages reflects the same tragic truth. We must bring them all back home now,” said representatives of the families of the Israeli hostages still held by Hama.

“The State of Israel cannot accept a reality where its citizens constantly feel their lives are threatened and suffer from relentless fear and anxiety. With each passing day, it becomes more and more difficult to bring the hostages back home – the living for rehabilitation and the murdered for a proper burial. The Israeli government must not waste another moment, it must return to the negotiating table today!” the statement added.
