The president of the USA Joe Biden apologized to his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky for delaying the approval of a new military aid package, which was caused by Republican opposition in Congress.

Dropping spikes against Republicans, Biden apologized while officially announcing a new $225 million aid package for Ukraine in a bilateral meeting with Zelensky on Friday.

“You know, you haven’t given up, you haven’t backed down at all, you keep fighting in a way that’s just admirable, just admirable — and we are not going to give up on you”Biden pledged to the Ukrainian president.

“I apologize for the weeks that I didn’t know what (bill) was going to pass, funding-wise, because we had a hard time getting the bill passed with the money from some of our very conservative members who were delaying it, but we did it.”

“I have announced six major funding packages – today I am also signing them an additional $225 million package to help you rebuild the power grid,” Biden noted.
