A tank appears running over a car on a street outside Kiev, Ukraine, in images shared on social media. The scene was recorded this Friday (25), the second day of the Russian military campaign against the neighboring country, which had the capital bombed by the forces of Vladimir Putin.
The images also contain the audio of people crying and screaming as they witness the hit-and-run. See below.
After the video circulated around the internet, a Belarusian political adviser and activist Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaia, Franak Viačorka, posted on Twitter that the man inside the car had survived the incident. He posted an image of the person allegedly emerging from the wreckage of the car.
Also on Friday, audios were revealed of Ukrainian soldiers who died defending the island of Cobra, in the Black Sea, from a Russian air and sea bombing. In the audios, released by CNN, they curse the enemy officer in a radio communication before the attack.
According to the BBC, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensk will award 13 border guards who died defending the island with posthumous medals for the country’s heroes. Ukraine claims the guards died after bombing from a Russian ship. Russia says the island was captured after “82 Ukrainian men voluntarily surrendered to Russian armed forces”.
Another video, also posted on social media, shows what a column of tanks would look like advancing. At one point, what appears to be a Ukrainian appears in the midst of the tanks trying, alone, to prevent the troops from passing. See below.
