“We have reached a political agreement to provide additional financial assistance to Kiev until the end of the year, thanks to a loan system,” the Italian prime minister said Georgia Meloni at the end of the first working day of the summit of the G7 group of countries, in Apulia, Lower Italy.

“It’s not about confiscation, it’s about profits being made. This is a result that fills me with satisfaction, now the technical details will have to be determined”, added the Italian Prime Minister. Her entire reference is to Russian deposits and goods located in Western countries that were temporarily “frozen” after Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine.

At the same time, referring to the Middle East, Meloni added: “I confirm full support for the United States’ proposal for a ceasefire, the release of hostages and the protection of the civilian population. We reiterated that every effort will be made to avoid an escalation of tension. The solution is part of the perspective of two peoples with two states”.
