Determined to continue trying to convince voters to support the Conservative Party in the July 4 election, said Rishi Sunakreacting to the first poll showing his party slipping to third place, behind Nigel Farage’s Reform UK.

From Puglia in Italy and its synod G7 Mr. Sunak commented that the election campaign is still in the middle. “So I continue to fight very hard for every vote.”

The YouGov poll for The Times puts Labor ahead in voting intention on 37%, followed by Reform UK on 19% and the Tories on 18%.

“I always say the only poll that matters is the one on July 4th. But if this (YouGov) poll is repeated on July 4, it would be like giving Labor a blank check to tax everyone,” the Conservative leader added. “I will fight hard to make sure that doesn’t happen,” he added.

Mr Sunak also warned voters considering voting for his far-right party Nigel Farage that “one vote for anyone who is not a Conservative candidate is simply a vote to put Keir Starmer in number 10”.

He added: “So if you want action on lower taxes, lower immigration, protected pensions or a sensible approach to zero emissions you will only get them by voting Conservative.”
