Ahead of protests planned for tonight following the announcement of the results of the second round of French parliamentary elections, several department stores have stepped up their security amid fears of vandalism.

At the same time, the concern is intensifying, as a list of tonight’s gatherings of anti-authoritarians and far-leftists is being shared on far-right channels with encouragement for possible counter-gatherings, as reported by the envoy of SKAI in Paris, Thanasis Gavos. Attack instructions are given on the far right channels.
French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said 30,000 police had been deployed for election night, including 5,000 in and around Paris.
For his part, Prime Minister Gabriel Atal urged all political leaders to ask their constituents not to engage in violent incidents as the results begin to come in.
