The alliance of the French left New People’s Front will occupy in the new French National Assembly from 184 to 186 seats, according to the latest estimate of the French television station BFM.
From 160 to 162 will be the deputies of the faction close to the French president Emmanuel Macron.
Marine Le Pen’s far-right faction will have between 141 and 143 MPs.
The Republican party is estimated to have between 65 and 67 deputies.
On the left, the Insubordinate France (LFI) is estimated to have between 73 and 80 MPs, the Socialist party between 60 and 64 MPs, the Environmentalists between 33 and 36 and the Communists between 11 and 12 MPs.
In the presidential faction, the component close to President Macron is estimated to have around 100 MPs, while between 50 and 60 will be MPs from allied parties.
Based on these results, there will be three major political forces in the National Assembly, and in order to form an absolute majority, two, or at least their largest sections, will have to cooperate.
President Macron will take his decisions after the National Assembly is assembled and after his return from the US where he will represent France at the NATO summit.
Prime Minister Gabriel Atal said he would tender his resignation, but would offer his services as long as needed.
