The Netherlands will deliver a second array of the US-made Patriot air defense system to Ukraine to boost the country’s ability to defend itself against Russia’s ongoing air and missile attacks, two Dutch ministers confirmed during a visit to Kiev, according to the Ukrainian news agency UNIAN.
Foreign Minister Kaspar Feltkamp and Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans reaffirmed the Netherlands’ commitment to supply the system during a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on Sunday, the agency explained.

Ukraine is believed to have five such systems at present. The Romanian government has announced that it is considering supplying it with an array as well.
Kiev is hoping for further commitments to boost its air defenses at the NATO summit in Washington. It is also awaiting the possible delivery of up to six Patriot batteries from Israel.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is insisting that at least seven such systems be sent to protect cities such as Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhia and Odesa in particular.
