The United States recommended today to Americans to give up “Immediately” the Russia after the Moscow invasion of Ukraine.
“American citizens should consider leaving Russia immediately through the trade options that are still available,” the State Department said in a statement, which had already advised Americans not to travel.
He warns that these commercial options are declining rapidly due to international sanctions including the closure of several countries’ airspace on Russian planes. The new warning from US diplomacy was issued to also include the decision taken today to allow the unnecessary departure of the US embassy staff in Moscow.
“The US government’s ability to provide routine or emergency services to US citizens in Russia is extremely limited,” said the State Department, which also warns of the risk of “harassment” of Americans by Russian authorities.
