At least six people were killed and 13 others wounded in Friday’s Russian airstrikes in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region, according to the latest tally.
A Russian rocket fell near an administrative building and a bus stop in the city of Mirnokhrad, killing four people and injuring ten others.
Regional governor Vadim Filashkin released images from the scene of the attack, showing damaged buildings and a bus with broken windows. A burnt-out car can also be seen, reportedly destroyed by the blast’s shock wave.
In Kostiantynivka, an operation was hit, resulting in the death of two civilians and the wounding of three others. The city in question is located northwest of Bakhmut, which was captured last year by Russian forces after months of fighting.
Further north, in the city of Liman, seven civilians were injured by a Russian strike, according to the Donetsk regional governor.
The Reuters news agency emphasizes that it is unable to verify the reports from the war zone.
