Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi described the Paris Conference on Libya as an important part of international action to manage the Libyan crisis, which has been under way since 2012.

According to the spokesman of the Egyptian presidency, Ambassador Bassam Randy, in his speech at the Conference, the Egyptian leader will confirm the need to support the December elections in Libya, as well as the withdrawal of foreign troops and mercenaries from the country.

At the same time, Mr. Randy pointed out that the crisis in Libya is going through a very critical phase, emphasizing the urgent need to support the Libyan people in order to ensure a secure process to achieve political stability and security in the country, through the upcoming elections. which is expected to be the focus of talks between the participating leaders at the Summit in France.

“The Paris Conference on Libya will focus on the means of supporting the electoral process, the withdrawal of foreign troops and mercenaries from the country, the fair distribution of wealth and the preservation of the rights of the Libyan people, the preservation of the country’s oil wealth. “Strengthening social peace as well as the process of rebuilding and developing the country,” said Bassam Randy, stressing that the conference was another step towards a political settlement in Libya.
