THE Russia has the means to prevent the deployment of US long-range missiles in Europe, his spokesman said Kremlin Dmitry Peskov in a video shown today by Russian state television.

Asked by journalist Pavel Zarubin about the possibility of the US developing hypersonic missiles in Europe, Peskov replied: “We have enough means to prevent these missiles, but the capitals of European states are potential victims of attacks.”

As noted in the announcement, the ultrasonic weapons, which are currently under development, will also be transferred to Germany in the future. “The exercise with these past capabilities will demonstrate the United States’ commitment to NATO and its contribution to comprehensive deterrence in Europe,” the two countries said. According to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, these capabilities use weapon systems that cover ranges from 240 to 460 km, but even ranges from 1300 to 2500 for Tomahawk missiles.
