“After much deliberation and consideration, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited for the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator JD Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” Donald Trump wrote in his announcement.

The next step is to appoint Ohio Governor Mike DeVine as James David Vance’s replacement.
