“I can’t wait to get back on the campaign trail next week” the US president said Joe Biden who was diagnosed this week with the coronavirus at a time when more and more Democrats are calling for him to withdraw from the presidential race.

“I look forward to returning to the race next week to continue to expose the threat posed by Donald Trump’s Plan 2025 agenda, while supporting my own record and my vision for America: where we save our democracy, we will protect rights and freedoms and create opportunities for all,” Biden said in a statement released Friday by his campaign.

“The stakes are high and the choice is clear. Together we will win.”

The president remains in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware as he continues to isolate and recover from Covid.

Joe Biden essentially confirmed what campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said earlier in an interview with MSNBC assured that the US president will return to the campaign trail next week after self-isolating with mild symptoms of the coronavirus, denying in essence the scenario broadcast by NBC that the family of the American president is discussing a withdrawal plan.
