The representative of the White Party Karin Jean-Pierre called yesterday Wednesday “ridiculous” the claims that Joe Biden resign, who on Sunday withdrew his candidacy for a second term in the presidency of the USA and is expected to refer – in about an hour – to this decision in his speech.
“Any suggestion of that kind is ridiculous,” Ms. Jean-Pierre said during a briefing for accredited editors, assuring that the Democrat’s decision had “nothing to do with his health.”
At the same time, he rejected the “lame duck” characterization of the president (“lame duck”: an idiomatic expression of American political life that usually refers to an elected official who is simply waiting for the end of his term).
White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre assured yesterday Wednesday that there was no attempt by his associates to cover up any health problem of US President Joe Biden before the Democrat decided to withdraw his candidacy for a second term.
“There was no cover-up. I don’t know what you are trying to say. Nothing of the sort happened,” answered Mrs. Jean-Pierre when asked about it during the briefing of accredited editors.
