A new round of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia will take place later in the day, according to Russian media.
TASS cites an adviser to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov told reporters that the Russian delegation would be “in place” on Wednesday for a new round of talks with Ukraine.
“Our delegation will be in place to wait for the Ukrainian negotiators,” he said, referring to the talks in the afternoon.
The first round of talks between Ukrainian and Russian delegations took place in Belarus on Monday, not far from the Ukrainian border, but ended without much progress. The location of the conversations is not yet known. Until yesterday, information indicated that the new round of talks would take place on the Polish-Ukrainian border. “I will not reveal the location early” commented Peshkov.
The invasion of Ukraine continues for 7 days, with the international media reporting that Russian forces have entered Kharkov and that Mariupol is surrounded.
Earlier, however, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stressed that Russia’s demands remain unchanged.
Regarding the demands of the Russians, he commented that “these are the demands that Putin expressed in his speech before the start of the war, “In fact, they are declaring war on us,” he said.
