Kyiv: Russian forces just 4 km from Europe’s largest nuclear power plant

“The enemy has approached the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant at a distance of 4 km. The ground defense is giving a heroic battle,” the company’s Telegram channel reported.

Earlier, the mayor of Enerhodar, Nmitro Orloff, said that a battle had started at a checkpoint equipped with residents on the way to the city. Also, according to him, many houses were damaged during the bombardment by Russian troops, and a fire broke out.

On Wednesday, more than 22,000 inhabitants of the city and NPP Zaporizhia officials protested during the Russian invasion of Enherkhodar.

The Ukrainian delegation to Russia in the meantime sets three conditions in the crucial negotiations that are in full swing, at a time when Vladimir Putin said that the Moscow military operation is proceeding according to plan.
