Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galand told US Army Chief of StaffRear Admiral Brown, that both countries must be prepared to act to prevent Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

The statement is believed to demonstrate the seriousness of the situation in Middle East following recent reports that Tehran has resumed nuclear weapons testing and Iran’s threat to attack Israel with ballistic missiles.

Gallant also said that “Iran’s aggression is breaking records,” under the shadow of Iran’s new threats to directly attack Israel for the second time since last April’s attack.

Brown and Gallant also discussed working together to return Israeli hostages held by Hamas, as well as returning northerners to their homes while ensuring Hezbollah stays away from the border.

It is noted that there is now a de-escalation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah after the exchange of attacks on Sunday, which marked the most dangerous conflict between the two sides.
