Coming to the informal Council of Foreign Ministers, the EU High Representative said that it is the first time in several years that the Foreign Minister of Turkey has been invited to an informal Council of the EU and thanked everyone who allowed this decision to be made.
“It is important for Turkey to understand the role of the EU with respect to the positions of our member states – Cyprus – which has difficult relations with Turkey,” said Z. Borel, noting that the best way to try to solve the situation is the dialogue.
The Turkish foreign minister has been invited to the working lunch of the 27 EU foreign ministers and will hold bilateral talks with some ministers on the sidelines. Z.
