Hostage and Missing Families Forum Criticizes Israeli Prime Minister’s Handling of Hostage Rescue
The Hostage and Missing Families Forum said in a statement that the six hostages, whose bodies were recovered in Gaza, would still be alive if the government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had reached an agreement with Hamas to release them.
“If it weren’t for the saboteurs, excuses and spin, the hostages whose deaths we learned of this morning would likely be alive,” the forum said in a post on X.

“Netanyahu: Enough with the excuses. Enough with the backtracking. Enough of the abandonment. The time has come to bring our hostages home – the living and the murdered to be buried in their own land,” the forum reads.
Netanyahu cancels event to mark the start of the school year
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office announced that it is canceling Benjamin Netanyahu’s appearance at the opening of the academic year at the Guatemalan Elementary School in Jerusalem.
Netanyahu’s office has yet to comment on the recovery of the bodies of six hostages from the Gaza Strip.
