According to Reuters news agency sources, the US administration is working to present a new proposal to break the deadlock in indirect negotiations.
The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas reiterated in a statement released early today that there is no need to draw up and submit a new proposal for a cease-fire agreement with Israel in the Gaza Strip, calling for pressure to be put on the Israeli government to accept to implement a proposal presented by US President Joe Biden at the end of May and she announced that she accepts on July 2.
According to Reuters news agency sources, the US administration is working to present a new proposal to break the deadlock in indirect negotiations.
But Hamas insisted in the text that Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to destroy the chances of a deal by insisting that Israel’s armed forces will not withdraw from the so-called Philadelphia Corridor, on the southern Gaza Strip’s closed border with Egypt.
“We warn against him that anyone should fall into the trap and (be deceived by) his tricks, as he uses the negotiations to prolong the attack against our people,” the Palestinian movement complained in its statement.
