OR Ukraine announced today that it struck two Russian ammunition depots overnight in two attacks that confirm Kiev’s ability to strike targets deep inside Russian territory.

Russian officials conceded Ukrainian attack in one of the ammunition depots in the Krasnodar region, clarifying that it was carried out by drones.

A statement from the general staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces says that the warehouses hit are located in Tikhoretsk, Krasnodar, and Oktyabrsky, Tver.

“His installation Tikhoretsk it is one of the three largest ammunition depots of the occupying forces and one of the keys to Russia’s military logistics chain,” the Ukrainian military said in a statement.

A state of emergency has been declared in the southwestern Russian city of Tikhoretsk, whose residents were evacuated after the Ukrainian attack, the local governor announced.

The governor of the Krasnodar region Benjamin Kondratiev stated on social media that “a state of emergency has been declared in the region to organize assistance to the population and to quickly resolve all issues related to the incident.”

Ukraine had information that a train carrying 2,000 tons of munitions, some of which came from North Korea, was at the facility at the time of the attack.

A Ukrainian security source said drones were used for the attacks. Ukrainian SBU intelligence services hit the facility in Tikhoretsk in a joint operation with the Ukrainian military, while the SBU had sole responsibility for the Oktyabrsky attack, the source said.

SBU drones also hit infrastructure at the Saykovka air base in Russiaaccording to the same source.

A Russian missile struck the central Ukrainian town of Kryfki Ryi overnight, killing a 12-year-old boy and two elderly women, the local governor said. Russian news agencies reported that Russia also hit Ukrainian energy facilities with high-precision weapons and drones.
