Former US First Lady Melania Trump recounted during a rare interview aired today on the Fox News television network how she lived through the assassination attempts against her husband Donald Trump, calling it a “miracle” that he survived.

She was in New York when, on July 13, the former president was shot during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Melania Trump thanked Secret Service agents tasked with protecting Donald Trump, calling them “fantastic”, despite the criticisms they received regarding the security measures that had been taken during this gathering.

The former First Lady also referred to the second assassination attempt on the Republican, on his golf course in Florida, on September 15.

“I believe that (and) in both cases, they were truly miracles. If you really think about it, July 13th was a miracle».

Melania Trump, who tends to stay away from the media, gave her first interview in two years to promote her memoir, which will be released on October 8, less than a month before the November 5 presidential election, which will they could lead her husband back to the White House.
