Attacks continue on the Israel-Lebanon border while sirens have been sounding since early morning in Haifa, Acre and surrounding cities in northern Israel.

Shortly after 9am there was a large scale rocket attack in northern Israel where the Iron Dome intercepted them.

As announced by the IDF five rockets were fired from Lebanon. All the missiles were intercepted by air defenses, the military said, and emergency services said there were no reports of injuries.

Also, the official Lebanese media reports that an Israeli airstrike destroyed a mosque in southern Lebanon today.

“Around 03:45 (local time and Greek time), enemy aircraft carried out an airstrike targeting the old mosque in the center of Kfar Temnit village, completely destroying it,” Lebanon’s official news agency ANI reported.

The IDF found Hezbollah weapons in homes

At the same time, the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah announced that it clashed twice with Israeli soldiers who tried to infiltrate today in an area near a border village in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah fighters fired explosive devices at Israeli soldiers and “confronted them as they tried to infiltrate” the area near the Lebanese village of Ramiya in two attempts, the Shiite militant group said, citing clashes that lasted about an hour. .

For its part, the IDF reported that from operations in southern Lebanon, the 8th Brigade Combat Team and the elite anti-terrorist unit LOTAR they discovered dozens of weapons caches in civilian homes.

Footage released by the military shows a cache of mortar shells — some originating in Israel — mines, Kalashnikov rifles, magazines and combat vests.

The military says it also found Kornet anti-tank missiles and that the caches were intended for Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force, as they were suitable for an invasion of northern Israel.

The troops, which have carried out major operations against Hamas in Gaza over the past year, operate under the 91st Division on the eastern edge of the IDF’s ground operations in southern Lebanon.

“The forces are conducting face-to-face combat, eliminating terrorists and destroying terrorist infrastructure that Hezbollah has developed along the border,” the IDF says.

The brigade also found tunnel infrastructure inside one of the villages, including living quarters for Hezbollah fighters.
