At least 29 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes in the central and northern Gaza Strip on Saturday as heavy fighting continues in the area.

Palestinian health officials said an Israeli strike in the central Gaza Strip killed a family of eight. Specifically, the strike in Gaza late Saturday hit a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing the parents and their six children, aged between 8 and 23 years, according to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in nearby Deir al-Balah, where the bodies were located. Seven more people were injured, including two women and a child who is in critical condition.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched another attack a week ago, saying Hamas had tried to “restore” its infrastructure there.

An estimated 150 Palestinians have been killed there in the past week, according to health officials in Gaza.

IDPs in the area say the Israeli army has surrounded Jabalia and ordered them to leave through a corridor.

Attack 40 targets

In the Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) say they killed “dozens of terrorists” on Saturday after attacking “40 targets”.

The IDF says it found “explosives”, “weapons” and “grenades” in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

The military says a launcher was attacked, targeting Ashkelon, in southern Israel, yesterday.

Conflicts continue in Lebanon

Meanwhile, in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah says it “clashed” with Israeli soldiers trying to enter the village of Ramiyah early Sunday.

In a series of updates over the past ten hours, Lebanon’s health ministry says 15 people were killed in three Israeli attacks yesterday in Deir Bella, Al Maaysra and Barja.

In Israel, the IDF says Hezbollah fired about 320 missiles from Lebanon into Israel on Saturday.
