According to reports, sheriff’s deputies at a checkpoint near the gathering arrested 49-year-old Vem Miller of Las Vegas, who arrived in a black SUV.

He was later booked into a local detention center on charges of possession of a loaded firearm and a large capacity magazine.

“This incident did not affect the safety of former President Trump or those attending the event.”the announcement states.

The sheriff’s office did not immediately release information about Miller’s intentions. He was released on bail and faces a court hearing on January 2.
